The lost-wax casting process allows each feather row, the curved beak, and the long tail feathers to be sculpted individually in the original wax model before molten silver is forced into the mold under centrifugal force. The result is a 2.9-gram charm measuring 3/8" x 1" — the full inch of height comes largely from those characteristic tail feathers, which give the piece an elegant vertical profile.
