Every element of Martin Luther's original 1530 seal is rendered in .925 sterling silver, Made in USA through traditional lost-wax casting. This medal weighs 2.5 grams of solid silver and measures 5/8" x 1/2".

The lost-wax process allows the artisan to capture the layered symbolism of Luther's design in three-dimensional relief -- the cross at the center, the heart, the five-petaled rose, and the surrounding ring. Each medal is then hand-polished through progressive stages to a final bright finish.

Luther explained his seal in a 1530 letter: the black cross represents faith in the crucified Christ, set within a red heart to show that faith lives in the heart, surrounded by a white rose of joy, peace, and comfort, all enclosed by a gold ring of eternity.
