Molten sterling silver is poured at over 1,640 degrees and forced into the mold by a centrifugal caster generating roughly 50 G's of force. That pressure is what captures the individual ice block texture and domed entrance tunnel that make this charm immediately recognizable.
The igloo -- or igluvigaq in Inuktitut -- is one of the most ingenious shelters ever devised, maintaining interior temperatures above freezing even in Arctic conditions. This charm captures the classic dome shape with its arched entrance passage in faithful miniature. A sterling silver jump ring comes included and attached.
