The macaw's elongated tail feathers, powerful curved beak, and broad wings are fully realized through the lost-wax casting process, where a hand-sculpted wax original of significant complexity is cast at 1,640 degrees under centrifugal force. Every piece is then hand-polished from rough filing through rouge compound to a mirror finish. A sterling silver jump ring is included and attached.
