This small bead, about 0.375 inches, concentrates on the face: the long muzzle and close-set eyes that make baboons so expressive, picked out in careful brushwork over fired clay. Because the painting is done by eye, the expression shifts a little from bead to bead — some look solemn, others faintly amused. Warm browns and tans keep it grounded next to brighter beads.
It is sold individually and does its best work where it can be examined up close: a solo charm on a bracelet, a pendant on a short cord, a one-off addition to a menagerie necklace assembled from other ceramic animals. The 2mm hole takes standard headpins and stringing wire.
