A drag racing car — engine blower, rear slicks, and roll cage — cast in 5.1 grams of solid .925 sterling silver and Made in USA. At over five grams, this 3D charm has the weight of a real hot rod behind it.
Centrifugal casting at approximately 50 G's drives molten silver into every engine detail, roll bar tube, and tire tread of this miniature dragster. After casting, each car is hand-filed and polished through tripoli and rouge compounds to a high-shine finish.
Drag racing began on dry lake beds in post-war California and evolved into a sport where Top Fuel dragsters cover a quarter mile in under four seconds at over 330 mph. This charm captures the long wheelbase, supercharged engine, and rear slicks that define the sport at 1" x 1/2". A sterling silver jump ring comes included and attached.
