The 3D shape comes from lost-wax casting: a hand-sculpted wax original is invested in plaster, burned out, and filled with molten silver under approximately 50 G's of centrifugal force. After casting, each piece is hand-finished through progressive polishing stages before enamel is applied by hand to each zone of the shoe and fired permanently in place.
