The shape is what really distinguishes it. At 1.575" tall and only 0.5" wide, the bead is roughly three times taller than it is broad — an elongated silhouette that suggests a perched bird with tail feathers trailing below. Hung vertically, it swings instead of sitting still, which is exactly the quality you want in a dangling earring.
The 2-3mm hole takes beading wire, waxed cord, and most mid-weight stringing materials. Run a matched pair as statement earrings against simple brass findings, use a single bead as the drop on a long pendant chain, or mix one into a jungle-canopy palette of wood, bone, and deep green glass.
One practical note: this colorway has been discontinued, and the sets currently on hand are the last of the run. Once they sell through, the blue-green parrot retires for good.
