These are commanding beads, 1.5" long by 0.625" deep, built to lead a design rather than fill space in one. The 2-3mm hole accepts cord, leather, and heavier wire, and the elongated body hangs beautifully: suspend one vertically from an earring wire and the whale seems caught mid-dive beneath the wire.
