When molten silver fills this mold under centrifugal force, it captures every overlapping strip and trailing end. The hand-polishing that follows preserves the bandage texture while bringing the raised surfaces to a bright finish.
Egyptian mummification was practiced for over 3,000 years — a process so meticulous that some mummies survive intact to this day. Hollywood turned these preserved figures into shambling monsters in the 1930s, and the mummy has been a horror staple ever since.
