Each piece is created through lost-wax casting and finished by hand with progressive polishing from tripoli compound to rouge. The solid silver construction gives this charm a weight and permanence that matches its meaning.
Mizpah comes from Genesis 31:49: "May the Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another." Traditionally, the Mizpah coin is broken in two so each person carries half -- a physical bond across distance.
