This 3D casting holds his whole silhouette in a 5/8" x 1" frame, the arch of his spine and the tilt of the flute clearly defined. At 1.5 grams the piece sits lightly, and because the figure is sculpted in the round rather than stamped flat, he reads from either side.
Each one begins as a carved wax original; centrifugal casting then drives the molten metal into every curve of the dancing form before hand polishing brings up the shine.
