Every skate is shaped and painted by hand in Peru, then kiln-fired so the colors stay put through years of wear. The modeling is fully three-dimensional — laced boot, ankle cuff, and flat blade all clearly defined — at a generous 1 by 1 inch, with a 2 to 2.5 millimeter hole that clears most cords and wires.
String one as the focal bead of a game-day bracelet, hang a pair from ear wires for a locker-room gift exchange, or work several into a team keychain alongside glass or wooden beads in club colors. Letter beads for a name and number complete the look.
Four skates come in each set, and since every one is painted individually, the brushwork shifts slightly from bead to bead — the mark of the hand behind it.
