A hand-sculpted wax model — capturing wings, halo, and the recognizable silhouette of a seated dog — is encased in plaster and replaced with molten sterling at 1,350 degrees. The four progressive hand-finishing stages that follow (filing, sanding, tripoli compound, and rouge polish) bring the surface to a reflective brightness that gives the wings genuine visual depth. The seated pose, watchful and calm, is specific enough to feel personal but unbranded enough to represent any beloved companion. A sterling silver jump ring is included and attached.
The vertical 5/8" x 7/8" proportion hangs gracefully from a chain, making this an especially effective pendant piece as well as a charm bracelet addition. The dimensional wings catch light in a way that flat memorial charms do not.
