A cockatoo with its signature crest raised high, cast in solid .925 sterling silver and Made in USA. This 3D charm captures the cockatoo's dramatic silhouette — from its fan-shaped crest to its curved beak and gripping talons — at 2.4 grams of solid sterling.
The lost-wax casting process creates sculptural depth that stamping and machine pressing simply cannot achieve. A hand-carved wax model is encased in investment plaster, burned out at 1,350 degrees, then filled with molten silver at over 1,640 degrees. After casting, each charm is filed, sanded, and polished by hand to a bright finish.
