After casting at over 1,640 degrees Fahrenheit, each pair of gloves is individually filed to remove all sprue marks, then worked through tripoli compound and rouge polish to a mirror-bright finish. The lacing across each glove is crisp and sharply defined — a precision that stamped sheet metal cannot achieve.
The Marquess of Queensberry Rules in 1867 mandated gloves in competitive boxing, transforming the sport and making the padded glove its defining image. This charm captures both gloves with their identifying hardware intact at 5/8" x 5/8". It reads as a powerful pendant, a bold bracelet charm, or made into earrings by pairing two pieces with sterling ear wires. A sterling silver jump ring is included and attached.
