Battle Axe Pendant Sterling Silver | Viking Jewelry | Made in USA
A Viking-era battle axe forged in miniature .925 sterling silver, Made in USA, measuring 1/2" x 13/16" with a broad crescent blade and wrapped handle.
Centrifugal casting at roughly 50 G's of force pushes molten silver into the axe head's cutting edge, the haft wrapping, and the pommel details that stamping would leave flat. Hand-finishing from rough filing through rouge polish produces a weapon-sharp gleam on the blade surface.
The battle axe was the defining weapon of Norse warriors from the 8th to 11th centuries — lighter than a sword, cheaper to forge, and devastatingly effective. The broad-bladed Dane axe could be wielded with two hands and was feared across medieval Europe. At 1.8 grams, this charm is all precision and no bulk.
A bold gift for Viking history buffs, medieval reenactors, Norse mythology enthusiasts, fans of Scandinavian heritage, or anyone who admires the craftsmanship of ancient weaponry. Sterling silver jump ring included and attached.
