Each piece is created through lost-wax casting, a 6,500-year-old technique that begins with a hand-sculpted wax model. The wax is encased in investment plaster and burned out at 1,350 degrees, then molten sterling silver is poured at over 1,640 degrees to fill every fine detail. After casting, each charm is individually filed, sanded, and polished by hand to a mirror-bright finish.
The Akita's powerful stance, thick double coat, and alert expression are all rendered in precise 3D relief.
